Bonita was last seen on January 23, 1991 when she left her residence in Medford, NJ. On January 24, 1991 her vehicle was recovered at a local library with her keys, identification, purse, credit cards, and wedding ring left inside the vehicle. Bonita also left a note that she wrote inside the vehicle.

She does have a scar on her abdomen from a previous appendix removal. Bonita also had a healed fractured right forearm.

She was last seen wearing a dark grey and white tweed jacket, cream colored sweatshirt, maroon corduroy pants, and LA Gear brand sneakers. She was also wearing a gold necklace with a heart.

Bonita suffered from Huntington's disease at the time of her disappearance.
